Call for Papers – AfRES Conference

We are pleased to invite you to the 15th African Real Estate Society (AfRES) Annual Conference to be held on 2nd – 5th September 2015 in Kumasi, Ghana. Kumasi is the second largest metropolis in Ghana with a rich history. It is located in the south of Ghana and is the commercial, industrial and cultural capital of Asanteman. It is also known as “The Garden City” because of the beautiful gardens and different species of flowers and plants.
The conference attracts representatives from academia and practice from the continent and also from around the world to discuss and present innovative solutions to real estate challenges. The conference encourages Professionals from the private sector real estate sector, government agencies, academia, and other stakeholders in the sector.
The conference encourages the submission of papers with a broad spectrum of real estate related issues.

- Real estate education.

- Property and facilities management
- Macro-economic policy and real estate markets.
- Real estate valuation.
- Real estate markets and housing development.

Abstracts for papers should be of approximately 300 words in length, with keywords, and should also include:
- a title
- the name, status and affiliation of the speakers (s),
- a contact email address.
- A template to assist for the abstract would be to ensure that each abstract has the following titles:
- Design / methods followed/ approach.
- Research limitations / implications.
- Practical implications.
- Originality / Value of work.
All conference rooms have a computer, data projector, and screen. Please also let us know if you require any special equipment.
Papers presentation shall not exceed 15 minutes, followed by a period of Q & A.
The following deadlines appl for REFEREED PAPERS: Please aim to submit your paper by July 1st; we are unable to referee a paper arriving after this date. Thank you.

We are still accepting abstracts for refereed and non-refereed papers. Authors should submit their abstracts electronically using MS Word format.
There are several prizes for best paper and also for best student paper, good luck to all.
No papers will be included in the program until the presenter has registered and paid the relevant conference fees. This is necessary to ensure the quality of our programme.
